Geary Alan Dial, 82, was born January 8, 1941 in Antlers, Oklahoma to Vollie and Thelma (Rymel) Dial. He passed from this life on December 15, 2023 at his home in Antlers, Oklahoma.
Those who knew Geary will remember how important music was to him. He loved to sing and play his guitar. In his younger years he traveled many places playing and singing. He once had the privilege of entertaining troops in Greenland. He served 8 years in the U.S. Army Reserves. Geary worked for the Holsum Bread Company until his retirement. He loved to hunt and fish, spend time in the outdoors. Geary will be deeply missed by those who knew and loved him.
He is preceded in death by his parents: Vollie and Thelma Dial; his sister: JoAnn Whiteside.
Geary leaves behind his four children: Stacey Franks and husband Brent of Antlers, Oklahoma, Kelli Giordano and John David Durand of Pollack, Louisiana, Matthew Dial and wife Teri of Alexandria, Louisiana, Cara Dial and Josh McGee of Antlers, Oklahoma; honorary son: Danny Gregg and wife Debbie of Antlers, Oklahoma; niece: Melody Whiteside of Antlers, Oklahoma; 9 grandchildren: Josh Franks, Jason Franks, Jacob Giordano, Sophie Giordano, Haddie Durand, Mallex Barcus, Cyndi Barcus, Caden Emmett, Lincoln Carper; 8 great grandchildren; 1 great great grandchild; along with numerous other relatives and friends.
A celebration of life will be held at his home at noon on January 13, 2024. Pallbearers will be Matthew Dial, Danny Gregg, Lanny Eaves, Troy Hughes, Steve Savage and James Ross. Honorary pallbearers will be Sammy Joe Rymel, George Splawn, Frank Wolf and Tony Walls.
