George Allen Schultz Obituary

George Allen Schultz, Jr was born in Dunbar, OK on February 19, 1946, and left this earth to be with his beloved wife of over 54 years on January 9, 2026 after bravely battling cancer. George, Dad, Uncle, Papa, Jorge, Boss, Hot Rod, and a host of other nicknames not to be said in writing was a man about town. Those who knew him loved him. He was charming and had a lifetime of experiences that most will never achieve. Wherever George went he made a friend.

George's beginnings were extremely humble. Birthed by one of the greatest women to walk this earth, Bertha Little (Buley), was a tough broad as they would say. She was a single mom and with the help of her mother they raised George in Southeast Oklahoma on a shoestring budget. His grandmother, Jeannette, was his hero. She taught him about the stars while laying on mattresses in the front yard and how to have an outstanding work ethic. Although, it’s been said that George Allen was a lazy child, his cousin with whom he was raised and he considered his sister, Hazel, often said he would insist on being carried but he was so old his feet dragged the ground.

When George was in high school, he ran both the drive-in movie theater and the theater in town. After he graduated from Antlers High School in 1964, he left for the city lights of Dallas, TX. There George had a host of jobs but excelled at them all. His first job in Dallas was at the Sears warehouse that Hazel helped him obtain. Hazel often said she was scared to death to recommend George for the job because he had been so lazy, but he proved to be the best warehouseman the Sears company ever had. That is where his overachievement tendencies began.

He met Carrie, his one and only true love, in Dallas while attending Tarrant County Jr College and running a 7-11 store. After 2 years, they were married and within 2 years of their marriage their family of four began. Carrie was loving, patient, and nurturing which George needed because he was a bit of a wild boy in those days on Harry Hines Blvd. Carrie graduated nursing school and became an RN while George moved on from 7-11 to work in the warehouse of Ling Tempco Vought. That choice would forever change the trajectory of his life. He was quickly sought after to become a Rep for the aerospace company, which would mean going on aircraft carriers for approximately 2 years and relocating his family several times along the east coast. But George accepted the challenge. And of course he excelled. He continued that career in the aerospace industry for over 40 years while also starting many businesses. He succeeded at them all. He was one of the last renaissance men. He raced cars, raced drag boats, built drag boats, never missed events of either of his children, supported his wife's career, owned an alum manufacturing plant, owned rent houses, ran a successful custom homes building business for 30+ years, Carrie and he helped Janette raise Skyler, and many more. But his final gig was opening and making a huge success of Fuel Bar and Grill in OKC.

George was a hard worker and fiercely believed in loyalty. George loved blackjack and craps and was known all over Las Vegas, he loved traveling with his wife and children (they traveled the world), loved all sports with a pension for football, basketball, and baseball. He was an avid OU Sooners Fan....Boomer!! George will be missed by all who knew and loved him. He left an everlasting impression on so many in his orbit.

George was preceded in death by his wife, Carrie Schultz (Vinson), his mother Bertha Little (Buley), his grandmother Jeannette Buley, his sister, Hazel Davis, his brother-in-law Floyd Davis, and his son-in-law Roscoe "Ross" Elliott. He is survived by his daughter, Janette Elliott, his son, George Allen Schultz, III "Buddy", his daughter-in-law, Debra Schultz, his grandson, Skyler Christian Allen Elliott, his grandson's partner, Devin Davis, his granddaughter, Lauren Jaco, his grandson Wayne Jaco, his granddaughter-in-law, Katie Jaco, and his great grandchildren, Taigan and Breadon, as well as extended family members, the fantastic staff of Fuel Bar & Grill and a host of friends to include Esther Cuellar who helped care for him with his children and grandson in his final days. George lived his life to fullest and is once again dancing in Heaven with Carrie. On shall his legacy continue.
