Gerald Donald Thomas, 85 years old of McAlester, Oklahoma, passed away November 29, 2025. He was born May 16, 1940.

Gerald was a lighthearted joker who enjoyed getting a laugh out of people. He loved eating Betty’s traditional Choctaw cooking. His most cherished time was spent with Betty, James, and Mimi. Above all else, Gerald had a good life and was blessed with loved ones who brought him immense joy.

He is preceded in death by his parents: Lizzie Mae Thomas and Impson M. Thomas; and his beloved fur baby: Mimi.

Gerald is survived by his wife: Betty Thomas of the home; son: Monroe James Thomas Sr. of Tulsa, Oklahoma; grandchildren: James Thomas, Jr. and Atuloa Thomas; and great-grandchildren: Nalona Thomas and Niha Thomas.
