Glen McMahan Obituary


Glen Eldon McMahan was born to Dewey and Thelma (Hamlin)
McMahan in Hugo, OK on March 12, 1940. He went to be with his Lord on June 8, 2021 at the age of 81.

Glen married Betty Labor on February 18, 1962 and they spent 59 wonderful years together. He proudly served as an SP5 in the United States Army, until his discharge on May 20, 1966. Glen loved being outdoors, and spent his time fishing, hunting, chicken fighting, riding horses and mules, and riding four wheelers. Most of all, he cherished his time spent with his family, especially his grandkids, great-grandkids, and great-great-grandkids.

Glen is preceded in death by his parents: Dewey and Thelma McMahan; and grandparents: Frank and Choc McMahan, and Fletcher and LoElla Hamlin.

He is survived by his wife: Betty Sue (Labor) McMahan of the home; son: Lance Elden McMahan and wife Shelly; daughter: Stepheny Gail McMahan; brother: Mark McMahan and wife Sherry McMahan; grandchildren: Chris and Tenessa Heath, Clint McMahan, Jessica McMahan, Kyle Remington, Christian Remington, Dillon Remington, and Amanda and Douglas Rinehart; great-grandchildren: Bekkah and Dakota Ragsdill, Laney and Trevar Lytle, Bri Bagley, Avery Heath, Matthew, Emily, and Abby Cannon, and Zander and Zane Rinehart; great-great-grandchildren: Jensen Ragsdill, Harper Heath, and Charlotte Lytle.


Family night will be held on Thursday, June 10, 2021 from 6-7PM at Serenity Funeral Service in Antlers. Funeral services will take place on Friday, June 11, 2021 at 2PM at the First Baptist Church of Antlers with Reverend Aaron Reed officiating. Pallbearers include: Chris Heath, Matthew Cannon, Douglas Rinehart, Zander Rinehart, Dillon Remington, Kyle Remington, Christian Remington, and Clint McMahan; with honorary pallbearers: Gene Allen, Otis Martin, Leon Williams, Hal Brame, Rom Willey, Horace Hamlin, Fred Janoe, and Jr. Bell.
Interment will follow at Antlers City Cemetery.
