Harold Edward Perrin passed away peacefully on October 16, 2024, at the age of 93. Born on January 10, 1931, in Wheeler, Texas, Harold was the son of the late Robert Sanford Perrin and Nellie Etter Stephens Perrin. He grew up alongside a brother and a sister who preceded him in death.
Harold bravely served his country in the U.S. Navy during the Korean War as a radioman first class and became proficient in morse code. After his honorable discharge, he went on to live in Tarrant County for half a century. He attended Texas Tech University.
Harold's interests were a reflection of his joyous and engaged approach to life. He was known for his talents in woodworking, his grace in ballroom dancing, and his exuberance in fiddle playing. He was an active member of the Bethel Family Worship Center in Hurst, TX. He celebrated his baptism at 91 years old, and he enjoyed dancing and reading the word of God with his dear friend Jody Witter.
Harold is survived by his children: Paula Diane Perrin Leeper and Mark Leeper of Weatherford, TX, Harold Edward Perrin Jr. and Mary Kay of Granbury, TX, and Sandra Kay Perrin Tatum and Keith Tatum of Azle, TX.
Harold's legacy continues through his adoring grandchildren Stephanie, Robert, Rachel, Holly, Amber, Crystal, Heather, Sierra, Hannah, Abby and Chloe. He also leaves behind great-grandchildren Brenna, Mitchell, Raylan, Cash, Ezra, Eden, Bethel, Silas, and Zeta, and he was excitedly awaiting the arrival of another great-grandchild.
A graveside service will be held at Serenity Funeral Service on Saturday, November 2, 2024 at 10AM with Pastor Tim Trujillo officiating. Pallbearers will be Mark Leeper, Keith Tatum, Harold Perrin Jr., and Robert Bryant.
Services are under the direction of Serenity Funeral Service.
