Hazel Lynch Obituary
Hazel Marie Earls Conner Lynch passed from this life on May 27, 2021 in Magnolia, TX. She lived to be 90 years old. She was born in 1930. In her time, she saw the rise from party-line telephones (if available) to smartphones with more computing power than was used to send man to the moon. Dick Tracy TV watches became a reality. One of 15 children, and her being the last surviving, she had 4 children, 17 grandchildren, 19 great grandchildren and two great great.
Although she was always a small town Oklahoma child at heart, she did get to see the world, including Germany and Paris, France (along with Paris, Texas!) She strove all her life, and did things on her own terms. A survivalist. She was compassionate to the less-fortunate, even and many times when she was less fortunate than they. She was always a hard worker and passed that trait on down to her children. She was not afraid to try new things, and attended college classes into her 60’s always hoping for that degree, although life kept getting in her way of that dream. She always wanted to be a writer and made an effort to keep her family’s memories alive. Her four children made and are making, their own marks in the world, yet never forgot their mother. Like all people she could be difficult at times but her core essence was of being a true Christian in word and deed and caring for others when the need arose. She could fight “with the best of them” especially with family members, but if they needed her, she was always there.
Hazel was preceded in death by her husband, Velty Lynch; her son: Thomas Conner, Jr.; and her 14 brothers and sisters.
She leaves behind to celebrate her memory: children: Robert Conner of Pheonix, AZ, Donna Rowe of Magnolia, TX, and Jeffrey Conner of Yokosuka, Japan; as well as her 17 grandchildren, 19 great-grandchildren, and two great-great-grandchildren.
A private graveside will be held at the Antlers City Cemetery in Antlers, OK.
Services have been entrusted with Serenity Funeral Service of Antlers, OK.
