Jack Franks was born in Antlers, Oklahoma on May 19, 1937 to Joe Franks and Alta (Johnson) Franks. He passed from this life on December 24, 2020 at his home in Antlers.
During his working years, Jack served as Pushmataha County Commissioner. He was a proud veteran of the United States Air Force and loved spending his time hunting and working horses.
Jack is preceded in death by his wife: Bobbie Franks; parents: Joe and Alta Franks; and brothers: Harold and W.N. Franks.
He is survived by his children: Jerry D. Franks of Rogers, Arkansas and Darla Wilson of Dierks, Arkansas; brother: Jimmy Franks of Oklahoma City, Oklahoma; sisters: Fern Smith of Antlers, Oklahoma, and Freda of Sherman, Texas; grandchildren: Amanda Mize of Ben Lomand, Arkansas, Matt Wilson of Dierks, Arkansas, and Justin Averette of Nashville, Tennessee; and great-grandchildren: Hunter Mize and Kolter Mize of Ben Lomand, Arkansas.
Funeral services for Jack Franks will be held 2 PM Tuesday December 29, 2020 at the Antlers Church of Christ with Brent Franks officiating. Interment will follow at Antlers City Cemetery. Pallbearers will be Shane Miller, Todd Tucker, Ray House, Guy Franks, Joe Franks and Justin Averette. Gene Allen will serve as an honorary pallbearer.
Family night will be Monday December 28, 2020 at Serenity Funeral Service from 5-7 PM.
