Jackie Lou Puckett, 95, passed from this life Wednesday, January 4th, 2023, in Antlers, Oklahoma. She was born December 8, 1927, in Antlers, Oklahoma, to Andrew Jackson Coffe and Linnie Belle (Perrin) Coffee.
She married the love of her life, Hollis "Pete" Puckett, on September 3, 1949, in Sherman, Texas. Jackie worked for over twenty years, as a hair stylist, for the Dixie Beauty Shop. She then bought the Diamond Steak House from Alvin J. Morris. After that endeavor she bought the Bearcat Diner and Oliver's Inn. Once she left the restaurant business Jackie opened Puckett's Dry Goods, and that is where she retired from. She was a business woman, wife, and mother. Jackie was also a quiet leader of the Antlers community. She was a part of the ESA fraternity for over fifteen years, as well as a proud member of the Church of Christ. Jackie will be greatly missed.
Jackie is preceded in death by her husband: Hollis "Pete" Puckett; son: James Ray "Jim" Puckett; parents: Jack and Lennie Coffee; brother: John Coffee and wife Dessie; sisters: Irene Taylor and husband Barden and Gladine Pate and husband Delton.
She leaves behind her granddaughter: Jennifer Kaye Owens and husband Matt; nephews and nieces: Terry Pate and wife Zelda of Antlers, Oklahoma; Patsy Ann Coffee of Los Angeles, California, Johnnie Sue Guadagnoli of Highland, California, Angelia Austin of Antlers, Oklahoma, Mike Pate and wife Anna of Antlers, Oklahoma, Lucas Austin of Antlers, Oklahoma, Todd Shown of Antlers, Oklahoma, Kansas Pate of Antlers, Oklahoma and Crue Pate of Antlers, Oklahoma; as well as numerous other relatives and friends.
Honorary pallbearers include: Bryan Copeland, Dean Cave, Bennie Wallace, Steve Burrage, Otis Martin and Lilian Tucker.
Services for Jackie will be held 10 AM Saturday January 7, 2023 at the Antlers Church of Christ.
