James Ray Loman was born July 26, 1943 in Antlers, OK to Jimmy Loman and Myrtle Wesley Loman. James went to be with his Lord on May 31, 2021.
James served proudly in the United States Air Force from 1964 to 1968, and obtained the rank of Sergeant. He and Lucille united in marriage in April 1969 and made their home in Midwest City, OK. James retired from Tinker Air Force Base in 2001. He was an avid sports fan, especially for the OU Sooners and OKC Thunder. James enjoyed playing his bass guitar and played in a small band in Antlers and Midwest City, playing country music. He loved music and often sat for hours listening to his gospel music.
James is preceded in death by his parents: Jimmy and Myrtle Loman; and brothers: Richard, Lloyd, and Howard, and also Bobby Loman and J.W. Hampton.
James is survived by his loving wife of 52 years, Lucille Parish Loman; son: Phillip James; daughters: Kristy Lynn Cox and husband Les and Deborah Lynn Bentley and husband Scott; grandchildren: Rayna, Raegan, and Bryce Bentley, and Hailey, Jordan, and Corey Cox-- all of Midwest City, OK; siblings: Terry Loman and wife Merry of Tahlequah, Clara Battice and Vic Eyachabbe of Antlers, Paula Jones and husband Jimmy of Tulsa, Ruby Theophilidis and husband Steve of Tulsa, and Iwana Morris of Antlers; As well as numerous nephews, nieces, and cousins.
Wake service will be held on Thursday, June 3, 2021 at 7PM at Serenity Funeral Service in Antlers. Funeral services will be held on Friday, June 4, 2021 at 1:30PM, also at Serenity. Burial will follow at the Antlers City Cemetery.
