James Eugene Shannon, Jr., affectionately known to his friends and family as "Jimbo", passed from this life on January 30, 2025 at his home in Antlers, OK. He was born on September 3, 1947 in Oklahoma City, OK.

James was an avid fisherman, and cherished his time spent fishing with his grandsons Jordan, Paidon, and Mason. He loved going out on the boat with Oscar Smith and his kids. When the weather didn't allow him time on the water, he enjoyed spending time at the casino. James spent a lot of time in Sulphur, Oklahoma with his family.

He is preceded in death by his wife: Patricia Shannon; mother: Edith Jones; step-father: Johnny Jones; siblings: Bobby Shannon, Patricia Moore, Allen Jones, and Donna Jones; and son: Richard Miller.

James is survived by his children: Jamie Stumpff of Noble, OK, Chris Shannon of North Carolina, Ronnie Miller of Missouri, Joseph Miller of Oklahoma City, Raymond Miller of Norman, OK, and Carolyn Gilbert of Norman, OK; sisters; Edith "Sissie" Jones and Carolyn Albertson; 22 grandchildren; 32 great-grandchildren; as well as numerous nieces and nephews.

Services have been entrusted with Serenity Cremations of Antlers.
