James Colton Smith was born on April 18, 1990 in Atoka, OK to Clarence Filmore Smith and Lisa Suzanne Grist. He passed from this life in Texas at the age of 32 on October 16, 2022.

James was employed as a night foreman at Coleman Propane, LLC in Durant, but he was also a man of many talents and interests. A few of the things that interested him were aeronautics, diesel mechanics, and working as a welder and fabricator.

James is preceded in death by his father: Clarence Filmore Smith, Jr.; and grandparents: Clarence Smith, Sr. & Ruth Smith, Everette Justus & Georgia Justus, and Donald Grist.

He is survived by his love Stuart "Stu" Brock; parents: Lisa and Todd "Pops" Carlile of Farris, OK; brother: Samuel Smith and wife Lacee of Atoka, OK; sisters: Laci Holley from Tishomingo, OK and Jessica Smith of Shawnee, OK; as well as numerous nieces, nephews, and friends.

Services will be held at 10 AM Friday, October 21, 2022 at the Serenity Funeral Service Chapel with Pastor Bart Bradford officiating. Interment will follow at Butler Cemetery in Atoka County, Oklahoma.
