James Norman White, 81, passed from this life on November 22, 2020, in Tyler, Texas. He was born July 3, 1939, in Terrell, Texas, to Bessie White.
James married Carlene Phillips on November 27, 1963 Rowlett, Texas, and they eventually made their home in Antlers, where they'd spent the last 20 years. He was a Christian man who loved Jesus and was a proud veteran of the United States Air Force. James enjoyed playing golf and fishing any time he got the chance. He was a family man, and above all else, James cherished spending time with his wife, children, and grandchildren.
James is preceded in death by his parents: Felix Burton White and Bessie Gwynn Tucker; as well as 11 siblings.
He is survived by his loving wife of the home: Carlene White; daughters: Lisa Lewis and husband Mike of Roland, Oklahoma and Sherry Brown and husband Randy of Garland, Texas; brother: Tandy White of Wylie, Texas; sister: Betty Chance; grandchildren: Ashley Lewis of Fort Smith Arkansas, Justin Lewis of Roland, Oklahoma, Shelbie Lewis of Virginia, Tristan Brown of Fate, Texas, and Nerissa Prestridge of Garland, Texas; great-grandchildren: Konner, Tenleigh, Emmerson, Holden, Adeline, Isabella, and Ayden Rae.
Services for James will be held on Saturday, November 28, 2020 at 11AM at Christian Family Fellowship in Antlers, Oklahoma with Billy Hunter officiating. Honorary pallbearers will be: Randy Brown, Mike Lewis, Tristan Brown, Justin Lewis, Justin Prestridge, and Don Brown.
