Jerry Don Smith

Jerry Don Smith, a beloved father, grandfather, brother, and friend, left this world on August 23, 2023, in Denison, TX. He was born August 7, 1947, in Talihina, OK, to Buford Ollie Smith and Zelma Estelle Smith..

He spent his professional years serving as a pipeliner with Union 798 and working as a skilled mechanic. He was a lifelong resident of Antlers where his presence was deeply cherished. Jerry became a familiar, loved figure in his community, often seen carrying out his favorite pastime of feeding deer.

Jerry was predeceased by his parents: Buford and Zelma Smith; siblings: Betty Wilkerson, Buford Smith Junior, Stacie Smith, and Syble Weathers.

He is survived by his children: Anita D. Morehead with husband John, and Debra Raelene Bailey. He also leaves behind his brother: Mike Smith; and sisters: Patricia May and Linda Battles. His life will be celebrated by his grandchildren: Matthew Gould, Ryan Gould, Jenna Gould, Jay Henderson, and Chase Morehead; along with his great-grandchildren: Chasen Morehead, Masen Morehead, Trenton Henderson, and Conner Henderson.

Services for Jerry will be held on Tuesday, August 29, 2023 at 10AM at Finley Cemetery with Carl Smith officiating. Pallbearers include: Matthew Gould, Ryan Gould, Chase Morehead, Kaylor Anderson, Jay Henderson, and Craigan Battles.
Services are under the direction of Serenity Funeral Service of Antlers, OK.
