Jerry Wayne Hill Obituary

Jerry Wayne Hill, loving husband, father, and proud US Army Veteran, passed away peacefully on July 12, 2023, in his hometown of Antlers, OK, at the age of 82. Born on August 18, 1940, to Clinton "Dock" Hill and Esther (Borden) Hill, Jerry lived a life deeply rooted in his community.

Known for his dedication and work ethic, Jerry was a self-employed rancher who relished the days spent under the Oklahoma sun. He was a man who honored tradition, valued hard work, and embodied dedication. His love for his profession was apparent in the care he showed for his livestock and the meticulous way he maintained his ranch. Jerry was an avid outdoor enthusiast. He loved to hunt, fish and share stories of his many adventures with family and friends. Some of his most cherished times were spent elk hunting in Colorado and family trips to the family cabin in John's Valley.

A respected United States Army veteran, Jerry served his country with distinction, and afterward brought the same sense of duty and purpose to his personal life. His veteran status bore testimony to his courage and unyielding devotion to his country. Jerry's unwavering patriotism and steadfast commitment will be esteemed forever.

Jerry will forever be remembered as a loving husband to his wife, Andrea "Janice" (Walker) Hill. They married on February 7, 1959, in Irving, TX, and their love story became an example for aspiring couples.

As a proud father, Jerry leaves behind his cherished daughters: Tammy Hill-Hatcher and husband Jackie, Sherrill Hill-Lofton and husband Weldon, both of Antlers, and Letha Hill-Tipps and husband Cary from Wister. He also leaves behind beloved grandchildren: J.J. His love for his children was evident in his actions and his proud stories.
