Jesse A. Johnson, 63, passed from this life on August 18, 2021 in Tucson, Arizona. He was born in Seymour, Texas on January 5, 1958 to Joseph Delbert Johnson and Edna Josephine (Pace) Johnson.
Jesse married Virginia Alexander on February 29, 1992 in Seymour, Texas. He enjoyed passing his time fishing, but above all else, he loved his time spent with his grandkids and great-grandkids. Jesse was of the Baptist faith and will be truly missed by his family and friends.
He is preceded in death by his parents: Delbert and Edna Johnson; and brothers: Jerry Johnson and Terry Johnson.
Jesse is survived by his wife: Virginia Johnson of the home; children: Jesse Gonzalez and spouse Kristy of Wichita Falls, TX, Alvin Kinsey and spouse Melissa of Scottsdale, AZ, Tina Reed and spouse Gary of Green Valley, AZ, and Tara Kinsey of Junction City, KS; brother: Thomas "Teddy" Johnson and Delbert "Corky" Johnson; sisters: Linda Young, Sylvia Hendershot, Mary Johnson, and Sandra Sparks; grandchildren: Cierra Winfree, Alexis Burch, Terriaunna Jones, Xavier Kinsey, Dalaina Brumfield, Isiss Kinsey, Eean Kinsey, and Shyla Kinsey; and great-grandchildren: Carter, Logan, Lucas, and Emmett Burch; as well as numerous nieces and nephews.
A memorial service will be held on October 2, 2021 at 11AM at the Finley Baptist Church with Charlie Mueller officiating. Honorary pallbearers include: Carl Hatcher, Nick Hopkins, Randy Carter, and Dallas Bishop.
Services are under the direction of Serenity Funeral Service.
