Kermit James Maynard, known to all as Jim, passed from this life at his home in Cloudy, OK on April 15, 2024. He was born in Appleton, WI on October 7, 1946 to Kermit Kimble Maynard and Grace (Brauer) Maynard.

Jim served in the Air Force from 1964-1968, earning the rank of Sargeant. He then married Paulette Davis on October 6, 1980 in Snider, TX, and in 1985 they made their home in Cloudy, sharing many dances throughout the years. Jim loved working with his hands, doing leatherwork and building things. He truly enjoyed the outdoors, and could often be found passing his time racoon hunting.

Jim is preceded in death by his parents: Kermit and Grace Maynard; and brothers: Scott Maynard and Robert Maynard.

He is survived by his wife: Paulette Maynard of the home; children: Ted Morgan and wife Georgia of Junction, TX, and Debbie and husband Michael of Junction, TX; sisters: Johne Porter of Georgia, and Gloria Gerril of Wisconsin; grandchildren: Chelsi Warden and Nathaneal, Chad Morgan and Ashley, and Christa; as well as 6 great-grandchildren.

Services have been entrusted with Serenity Funeral Service and Cremations of Antlers, OK.
