Jimmie "Jim" Lawrence Wilson, a lifelong resident of Pushmataha County, passed away peacefully on April 3, 2025 in the comfort of his cherished home. He was born on December 17, 1949 in Sardis, OK to Stanley and Bonnie Wilson. Jim married Brenda Myrl Robbins on August 21, 1969 in Antlers, OK.

Jim was a jack of all trades throughout his life. He had worked for Brown & Root in Valliant for a time, and even worked mixing paint at Sherwin Williams for a spell. He decided to buy a truck in 1973 and Jim transported a number of things including logs, pipe, cows, and even onions. He decided to stop driving in 1989 to stay at home to feed his cows and enjoy working his ranch. He had finally found his niche: he could stay home and sell gravel and not ever have to leave the hill again except to get a haircut.

Jim is preceded in death by his parents: Stanley and Bonnie Wilson; brother: Terry Don Wilson, Sr.; and sister: Dorothy Jean (Wilson) Kitchens.

He leaves behind a family that will continue to honor his legacy, including his wife: Brenda Myrl Wilson of the home; children: Vernon Everett Wilson and Shauna of Spencerville, OK, Jinny Shyrl Lewis and Robert of Fort Towson, OK, Jimmy Daryl Wilson of Fort Towson, OK, Misty Danyell Teague and husband Philip of Rattan, OK, and Waylon Brendin Wilson and Deborah of Muse, OK; brothers: Daniel Wayne Wilson and Wallace Lee "Buddy" Wilson; grandchildren: Vernon Everett Wilson, Jr. and wife Kimberly, Nikki Lynn Rudder and husband Weldon, Robert Wilson "Will" Lewis and wife Lexy, Tyler Lawrence Lewis and wife Abigail, Jimmy Daryl "Bubba" Wilson, Jr. and wife Cassidy, Kathryn Paige Wilson, Hunter Wood Wilson, Tymberlyn Jane Wilson, Briar Augustus Teague and fiance Clementine Nostrant, Clancy Tate Teague, Cutter McCandle Teague, Tryan Walker Teague, Cole Brannon Wilson and wife Madeleine, and Evan Clay Wilson; and great-grandchildren: Liam, Waylon, Davy, Lillianna, Lucy, Riley, Clara, Walker, and Blakely.

A family night will be held on Monday, April 7, 2025 at Serenity Funeral Service in Antlers, OK. Funeral services will take place on Tuesday, April 8, 2025 at 2PM in the Serenity Chapel. Jim will be interred on his ranch, at the Wilson Family Cemetery.
