Jimmy Carrol Calhoun, 81, passed peacefully at home surrounded by his family in Antlers, Oklahoma on April 17, 2021. Jimmy was born January 7, 1940 in Bennington, Oklahoma to William Everett and Pearl Eva (Hall) Calhoun.
Jimmy married Judy Getts October 12, 1958 in Wade, Oklahoma. Together they raised two daughters Esther and Donna. Jimmy enjoyed ranching and doing paint and body repair for many years. He was a member of the Antlers First Baptist Church in Antlers, Oklahoma. Jimmy will be truly missed by all of his family and friends.
He was preceded in death by his parents: William Everett and Pearl Eva Calhoun; brothers: Clyde Calhoun, Williams Everett "Sonny" Calhoun Jr.; sisters: Edith Heath and Norma Harris; grandchildren: Kristin Mobbs and Joshua Mobbs.
Jimmy is survived by his wife Judy Calhoun of the home; daughters: Esther Gentry and husband Jim, Donna Mobbs all of Antlers, Oklahoma; siblings: Joe Roy Calhoun and wife Joan of Ardmore, Oklahoma, Brenda Phillips and husband Bob of Bokchito, Oklahoma, Dorothy Kellum of Bennington, Oklahoma and Aaron Don Calhoun of Wade, Oklahoma; grandsons: Joshua Gentry of Antlers, Oklahoma, Caleb Gentry and wife Courtney of Durant, Oklahoma, Steven Mobbs of Antlers, Oklahoma, Stuart Mobbs of Camp Lejeune, North Carolina, Jacob Gentry of Antlers, Oklahoma; great grandsons: Corvan Ward and Canaan Gentry both of Durant; along with other relatives and friends.
A celebration of life for Jimmy will be held 1 PM Tuesday April 27, 2021 at the Antlers First Baptist Church with Reverend Aaron Reed and Pastor Jim Gentry officiating.
Services are under the direction of Serenity Funeral Service in Antlers, Oklahoma.
