Jo Ann (Humphreys) Franklin Brown passed, away with her daughter by her side, at home on May 27, 2022 at the age of 86. She was born in LeFlore County, Oklahoma on January 28, 1936 to Harrison "Red" Humphreys and Dessie Gertie (Hudspeth) Humphreys. Jo Ann was of the Assembly of God faith.
She married James G. Franklin in Whitesboro, Oklahoma on July 7, 1956 and were married until his death on April 19, 1979. They had three children.
She also married Richard "Rick" Brown in Potosi, Missouri on May 15, 1980 and were married until his death on June 9, 1995.
Jo Ann was a child of God and loved reading her bible and going to church every time the doors were open. She was a homemaker, secretary for the Washington County DA, in Potosi, Missouri and later a dispatcher for the City of Potosi, Missouri. She loved her family and would do anything for them. She loved working on her and Rick's farm in Jumbo, Oklahoma. Sewing was always her great passion and talent. When she moved back to Oklahoma, she learned how to quilt. She always entered the Quilt Guild quilt shows, and usually won first place. If someone needed help, she was always willing, expecting nothing in return. She loved spending time with her family, but especially her great grandchildren.

Franklin; husband: Richard "Rick" Brown; sisters: Mildred Brown and Janice Crull; brothers: Ray Humphreys, Jimmy Humphreys, Floyd Humphreys, V.G. "Rod" Humphreys and Thomas "Duane" Humphreys; and grandson: Richard Glenn Graham
Jo Ann is survived by: her children: Michelle (Glenn) Graham of Antlers, OK, Timothy Franklin of Antlers, Oklahoma and Mike (Wendy) Franklin of McAlester, OK. Grandchildren: Amber Jo (Donald) Pritchett, Colt (Jessie) Franklin, Jarrett (Theresa) Franklin. Great-Children: Ashlyn JoAnn Pritchett, Davina LeeAnn Pritchett and Luke James Franklin. Sisters-in-law: Katie Humphreys, Jo Ann Humphreys, Sharon Humphreys, Ruthie Compton, Patricia Graves, Janet Franklin
Services will be held on Friday, June 3, 2022 at 2:00 pm at the Serenity Funeral Service Chapel. In lieu of flowers the family have requested donations be made to the First Baptist Children's Church.
