John Kenneth "Cowboy Ken" McDonnold passed from this life in Antlers, Oklahoma on November 15, 2021 at the age of 59 years. He was born on June 4, 1962 in Frisco, Texas.
Ken was a true Cowboy with a heart of gold. He was a member of the AQHA who loved team-roping, horses, drawing, and always found joy in giving gifts. Ken was known as a jokester, but he loved hard and tried his hardest to give to anyone he knew. He leaves behind many friends and loved ones to cherish and celebrate his memory.
Ken is preceded in death by his parents: Frank and Marianne McDonnold.
He is survived by his children: Kendra Lea McDonnold of Finley, OK, Gatlin McDonnold of Finley, OK, Allie Kaye McDonnold and spouse Steven of Moore, OK; and grandchildren: Benjamin Joseph Lavalley, Kenlee Faith Lavalley, Braxton Lee Carter, and Willow Kaye Akin.
Family night will take place on Wednesday, November 17, 2021 from 6-8PM at Serenity Funeral Service of Antlers. Funeral services for Ken will be held on Thursday, November 18, 2021 at 11:30 at the One Creek Church with Andy Johnson officiating. Interment to follow at One Creek Cemetery. Pallbearers include: Gatlin McDonnold, Toby Teel, Chase Jones, Benjamin Lavalley, Steven Akin, and Terry Dean Miller. Honorary Pallbearers are: Mark Collins and JT Hull.
