John Kent Reynolds passed away peacefully on August 15, 2023, in Antlers, Oklahoma. He was born on June 28, 1947, in Walters, Oklahoma, to his parents, Willard Lee Reynolds and Ruthy Lee Wagner.
John was an honorable and respected veteran of the United States Army who valiantly served his nation during the Vietnam War. After his military service, he cultivated a life filled with a diverse array of interests including, but not limited to, fishing, strumming bluegrass melodies on his guitar, coin collecting, hunting, and embarking on unforgettable travel adventures.
John was preceded in death by his parents: Willard and Ruthy Reynolds; his brother: Willard Lee Reynolds; sisters: Pat Thompson and Jeanne Glovis; as well as granddaughter: Airanna Marie Smith.
Surviving him is his beloved spouse: Pamela Reynolds of the home, and his devoted children: Steve Reynolds, along with his spouse Lorrie from Shattuck, Oklahoma, and Raelyn Smith and her spouse Dennis from West Milford, West Virginia. He is also survived by his sisters: Jackye Dedmon of Texas, and Donnye Brown of Finley, Oklahoma.
He was a cherished grandfather to Joshua Smith, Keirsta Mills, Rose Smith, Wendie Reynolds, Chloe Fulton, and great-grandfather to Amelia Mills, Wyatt Kent Smith, Jakayla Smith, Cooper Jack Mills, and Jayden Smith who will miss his warmth and unconditional love.
A graveside service will take place on Tuesday, August 22, 2023 at 2PM at the Finley Cemetery with Bill Summitt officiating. Fellowship will take place at the Little Cedar Baptist Church following the inurnment.
