Joseph Bud Akard, 44, passed from this life December 10, 2021 in Antlers, Oklahoma. He was born to Neal and Peggy (Powell) Akard in Antlers, Oklahoma.
Joseph like to collect old bottles and old knives. He never met a stranger and would help anyone in need.
Joseph is survived by his daughter: Bailey Akard of Colbert, Oklahoma; parents: Neal and Peggy Akard of Antlers, Oklahoma; sister: Ashley and Jason Kellett of Moyers, Oklahoma; aunts Betty Gregg of Antlers, Oklahoma, Patty and Scotty Landreth of Antlers, Oklahoma, Cindy and Billy Jack Wilkerson of Antlers, Oklahoma; uncles: Danny and Cathy Akard of Rockwell, Texas, Kenneth and Connie Akard of Moyers, Oklahoma; along with many cousins and friends.
He was preceded in death by his grandparents: Mr. and Mrs. Bud Akard, Mr. and Mrs. Elmer Powell; nephew: Thomas Neal Monrow Kellett; aunts and uncles: Polly Shirley, Skeet Gregg, Billie Jo Satterfield and Kenneth Satterfield.
There will be a family night for Joseph Tuesday December 14, 2021 from 6-8 PM at Serenity Funeral Service.
Services are under the direction of Serenity Funeral Service in Antlers, Oklahoma.
