Joyce Luvenia Daniels

Joyce L. Daniels was born in Antlers, OK on September 29, 1928 to Victor and Delila Underwood. She passed away on November 18, 2021 at the age of 93 in Duncan, OK.

Joyce married James H. Daniels on July 8, 1946 in Paris, TX. They were married for 65 years until his death on May 4, 2012. She enjoyed sewing, gardening, and visiting with her family and friends. Joyce was the granddaughter of an original Choctaw enrollee Kennedy Underwood and Lula (Ashford) Thomas.

Joyce is preceded in death by her husband: James H. Daniels; father: Victor Underwood; mother: Delila Underwood; sister: Jerri Burton; and brother: Jim Underwood.

She is survived by her brother: Vic Underwood of Antlers, OK; sister: Glenna Cash of Duncan, OK; children: Jim Daniels and wife Martha of Duncan, OK, and Dave Daniels and wife Rhonda of Huntsville, TX; grandchildren: James Daniels of McCordsville, IN, Stacy Goldsberry of Duncan, OK, Elizabeth and husband Rick Orozco of Dallas, TX, Tisha and husband Mike Vana of Celina, TX and Charlie Daniels and Shondell of Flower Mound, TX; great-grandchildren: Jeffery Goldsberry of Duncan, OK, Alexa Hale of Huntsville, AL, Brooklyn Daniels of Flower Mound, TX, Aiden Daniels of Flower Mound, TX, and Addison Daniels of Flower Mound, TX, Kaitie, Ashlyn, Madi Vana of Celina, TX; and great-great-grandson: Steven Hale; as well as many nieces, nephews, and cousins.

Services for Joyce will be held on Tuesday, November 23, 2021 at 2PM at the Serenity Funeral Service Chapel with Wes Haddox officiating. Interment to follow at Hall Cemetery.
