A spitfire from the instant she was born, her daddy often called her a pistol. Kathi effortlessly eased into the role of family matriarch in her twenties and always with a youthful exuberance that was her trademark. Katherine’s family wishes to acknowledge their eternal appreciation of friends and family who reached out endlessly to Kathy over the past two years. Beginning with trips to UNC Chapel Hill, local surgical and oncology appointments, chemo sessions, hydration sessions, PET scans, horrific ER internments, hospital stays, painful days when there was no relief as she chose to remain as lucid as her suffering would allow and bc demands of living and responsibility offer no respite to the dying.
Blessedly interspersed amid the cruel madness of cancer were memorable moments forever golden.
