Kathy Beasley-Whiting Obituary
Kathryn "Kathy"Gail (Beasley) Whiting, 57, passed from this life on July 1, 2018 in Great Bend, Kansas. She was born to James Edward and Twila Louis (Parks) Hayes June 26, 1961 in Marlow, Oklahoma. After high school, Kathy married Richard Brian Beasley and they had two children, Brandon and Kayla.
She was very mischievous and loved to have fun. Kathy taught Sunday school to the junior age children at Kent Baptist Church, enjoyed singing in the church choir and even sponsored the youth during KBA Church Camp. She was a very giving person and fostered many children. Kathy enjoyed shopping at the Salvation Army, scrap booking, traveling, sewing, gardening, baking in the kitchen, and sending cards to her friends and family on every occasion possible. Above all, she loved to spend time with her family and friends.
Kathy is preceded in death by her father: James Edward Hayes; mother: Twila Louis Hayes Sparks; first husband: Richard Brian Beasley; granddaughter: Brooklyn Gail Beasley; and her sister: Debbie Lynn Buckner.
She leaves behind her husband: Tony Whiting of Hugo, Oklahoma; Son: Brandon Beasley of Antlers, Oklahoma; daughter: Kayla Harvey and husband Tony of Hugo, Oklahoma; step-son: Anthony "Little Tony" Whiting of Great Bend, Kansas; grandchildren: Sonya Lynn Bond, Kaylynn Michelle Bond, and Colton Richard Harvey all of Hugo, Oklahoma, Breanna Blackstock, Cheyenne Dunken, and Andrew Hopson of Antlers, Oklahoma, Tristen Beasley, and Brandyce Beasley of Henderson, Tx.; sister: Cindy Krou of Tulsa, Oklahoma; mother-in-law: Bobbie Beasley of Antlers, Oklahoma; and sister-in-law: Rhonda Beasley of Antlers, Oklahoma; along with many other relatives and friends.
Pallbearers: Brandon Beasley, Jeromy Beasley, Jeremy Mack, Jesse Buckner, Tony Harvey, and Zak Krou.
Honorary Pallbearers: Danny Antwine, Andrew Hopson, Tristen Beasley, and Jesse Harper.
Funeral services for Kathy will be held 10:00 AM Saturday July 7, 2018 at Kent Baptist Church. Interment will follow at Sugar Creek Cemetery in Nelson, Oklahoma.
Family Night will be held Friday July 6, 2018 from 6-8 PM at Kent Baptist Church.
Funeral services are entrusted with Serenity Funeral Service in Antlers, Oklahoma.
