Kelly Patrick Thompson

Kelly Patrick Thompson, a cherished son, brother, and friend, passed away on April 4, 2024, in Antlers, Oklahoma. Born on August 29, 2002, in Mason City, Iowa, Kelly's warmth and kindness touched many throughout his 21 years of life.

A man of many interests, Kelly reveled in the worlds of gaming and technology, always eager to "tech out" the latest wifi setup or deep dive into his favorite Youtube channels. His enthusiasm for discovery extended upward, as stargazing and watching the sky were sources of endless wonderment for him. The joys of adventuring in realms of fantasy through Dungeons and Dragons sessions, the pages of a good book, or his favorite music, were but a few of his beloved pastimes. Above all else, he enjoyed time spent with Sydnye, who meant the world to him.

Kelly is lovingly remembered by his parents, Jon and Tracey Trullinger of Antlers, OK and father Patrick Thompson of Mason City, IA, as well as his sister, Meghan Miller of Des Moines, IA. He will also be missed by his grandparents, Roger and Jane Brown of Red Oak, IA. His absence will be deeply felt as he is reunited with his late sister, Bethany, and brother, Paul Thompson.

Those who had the fortune of experiencing Kelly's kindness often found themselves admiring how he navigated life with such a gentle spirit. His legacy will continue to inspire those who were a part of his too-brief journey.

A celebration of Kelly's life will be held at 11AM on Saturday, April 20, 2024 at the Darwin Baptist Church with Terry Williams officiating.
