Kevin Duane Clay Obituary

Kevin Duane Clay, 68, passed away at his home in Clinton, OK on May 8, 2025. He was born in Lawton, OK on December 8, 1956 to Eugene Clay and Mary Francis (Chubbee) Clay.

Kevin was of the Baptist faith. He had many hobbies, including fishing, hunting, and playing softball. Most of all, he enjoyed quiet time spent with his beloved dog Josey.

Kevin is preceded in death by his father: Eugene "Blue" Clay; mother: Mary Francis Chubbee Clay; sister: Eugenia Gail; brothers: Kerry Dale and Kenneth "Keno"; grandparents: Henry and Cillian Clay, and Sampson and Louisa Chubbee; and stepmother: Ellen Burleson Clay.

He is survived by his children: Kevin Smith and wife Melinda of Talihina, OK, Jason Vaughan and wife Heidi of Minco, OK, and David Vaughan and wife Liz of Cordell, OK; siblings: David Clay and wife Oma of Rattan, OK, Darrell Clay of Oklahoma City, Wendall Clay and wife Perk of Clemmons, NC, Russell Clay and wife Ginger of Centerpoint, OK, Leslie Clay of Oklahoma City, OK, and Sharon Clay Robertson of Antlers, OK; sister-in-law: Stacy Clay; step-siblings: Gary and Raylene Burleson, Terry and Andy Burleson, Allen and Sherry Burleson, and Diane and Eddie Ison; grandchildren: Rylee, Tayler, Maggie, Ariona, Chloe, Brittany, Hunter, Blake, and Kyra; and great-grandchildren: Axel, Kash, Henley, Kopelyn, and Roselyn.

A memorial service will be held on Tuesday, May 13, 2025 at 3PM at Serenity Funeral Service in Antlers, OK.
