Larry Wayne Dillishaw was born on June 6, 1957 to Ollie and Faye Dillishaw in Antlers, Oklahoma and passed from this life January 1, 2025 in Tulsa, Oklahoma at the age of 67. He attended Antlers schools. Larry married Ann Wilson in 1978. They had two boys, Brian and Jarret. They lived in Texas before eventually moving to Niles, Michigan. Larry worked there doing roof work. He worked at Notre Dame College campus numerous times, so much so that he rooted against the football team. He made many friends working there. Even after retirement he remained in contact with phone calls and good morning text messages. Many people here received those and we will miss those. He moved back to Antlers (home) in 2015.
He had a nickname for everyone. He knew your name but wanted to give you a nickname. He started that many, many years ago. Mine had changed from Mr. PP to Mr. Papa PP when Darrell was born. So your nickname could change but not likely.
Larry enjoyed the outdoors, fishing, hunting, camping, backroading, cornhole, or just to simply sit around the fire to drink and talk. Just about every day since moving back he would drive around and visit family and friends. Occasionally making new friends and meeting our local area law enforcement.
Larry offered to help any time there was a project or work to be done. Later when it was more difficult to participate, he offered supervision and safety. Careful, careful. Larry was a father, brother, grandpa, papa, uncle, friend, hunting buddy, poker night partner, cornhole partner, fishing buddy, ear lender, drinking buddy, back road driver, and work buddy.
Larry is survived by his wife: Ann Dillishaw of Niles, MI; sons: Brian Dillishaw of Eden Prairie, MI and Jarret Dillishaw of Ft. Worth, TX; sisters: Jane Kuykendall and husband Danny of Antlers, Bonnie Reed of Antlers, Judy Alexander of Antlers, Liz Deaton and husband Steve of Rattan, and Mary Patterson and husband Paul of Antlers; brothers: Danny Dillishaw and wife Barbara of Antlers, Randy Dillishaw and wife Tina of Antlers, and Windale Dillishaw and Amy Holden of Antlers; grandchildren: McKenzie Dillishaw, Austin Dillishaw, Dezirae Dillishaw, and Gray'ce Dillishaw; and great-grandchildren: Liam Dillishaw and Hazleigh Cody.
