Leonard David Allison Obituary
Leonard David (L.D.)Allison passed away leaving behind a legacy of quiet strength, kindness, and a deep love for the outdoors. He was a man most at peace in nature, living simply and comfortably off the land. The outdoors wasn’t just where Leonard spent his time—it was who he was.
A man of few words, Leonard spoke most clearly through his actions. He had a big heart, one that showed itself in his steady presence, gentle ways, and unwavering kindness. He valued family, simplicity, and a life lived close to what truly mattered.
Leonard was a father to his two daughters, Lisa Carter of Kaufman, TX and April Allison of Kaufman, TX, whom he loved deeply. He is also survived by 5 grandchildren Zachery, MaKayla, Marcos, Izaiah, and Lukas along with 5 great grandchildren, sisters, Kathryn Tate and Cheryl Allison and brothers, John Allison, Larry Allison, Wetzel Allison, and Charley Allison and a large extended family who will remember him for his quiet wisdom, calm spirit, and genuine goodness. He is preceded in death by his father, Lewis Washington Allison and mother, Dorothy Faye Farmer Allison, sisters, Ann Tate and Jean Price and brothers Luther Allison, Tim Allison, Lewis Allison, Jay Allison, Bryan Allison.
Those who knew Leonard knew a man who didn’t need much, asked for little, and gave more than he ever let on. He will be deeply missed and fondly remembered by all who had the privilege of knowing him.
