Obituary

Margaret Alice Ludlow, a woman described by those who knew her best as both loving and kind, was born to Henry Charles and Trumie (Dunlap) Cole on the 15th of April, 1946, in Antlers, Oklahoma where she also peacefully passed away on the 8th of September, 2023.

Margaret's life began in the small town of Antlers. She was the cherished daughter of Henry Charles and Trumie Cole. Margaret was one of a large family of siblings. Although many of her siblings preceded her in death, the close-knit bond they shared remained a cornerstone of Margaret's life.

Margaret was united in marriage with Roy Ludlow from Finley, Oklahoma on July 21, 1970 in Paris, Texas, and together they built a family of love, laughter, and shared adventures. Their blessed union produced two children; Richard Ludlow and wife Rebecca from Hugo, Oklahoma, and Terry Ludlow and wife April from Antlers, Oklahoma. Margaret took immense pride in her family and found her greatest joy in moments spent with them.

Her legacy will be further carried on not only by her husband and children but also her grandchildren; Jesse Ludlow, Taryn Joe, Noah Joe, Caleb Joe, Cameron Ludlow, and Trevor Ludlow, as well as her great-grandchild, Collin Boyd. The love and life lessons Margaret shared will continue to serve as guiding lights for them. Long after her passing, the echoes of her laughter, the wisdom of her advice, and the warmth of her love will endure in the hearts of all who had the privilege to know her.

Margaret radiated kindness and a quiet strength that graced everyone around her. She was a beacon of faith for her family. Reading the Bible was her source of comfort and guidance, a testament to her strong faith. Apart from spending time with her loved ones, Margaret particularly enjoyed crocheting, an art that she honed with years of patience and precision. She also looked forward to yard sales that presented the opportunity of finding hidden treasures. Margaret had a fondness for watching television, especially soap operas, which offered her an escape into the world of drama, passion, and intrigue.

Her memories will remain etched in our hearts and give light to our paths. While she is preceded in death by her parents: Henry Charles and Trumie Cole; brothers: Willard Cole, RC Cole, Gene Cole, Marvin Cole, JW Cole, Marty Cole and Larry Cole; Sisters: May Standridge, Velvie Bates and Thelma White; granddaughter: MaKayla Ludlow.

Graveside services for Margaret will be held 10 AM Monday September 11, 2023 at Antlers City Cemetery with Rosie Baker officiating. Margaret's sons and grandchildren will service as pallbearers.
