Marty Ray Martin passed from this life on February 8, 2026 in Oklahoma City, Oklahoma. He was born on April 28, 1960, in Antlers, Oklahoma, to Lawrence Ray "Dooley" Martin and Carole Louella (Couch) Martin. 

Marty lived in the Antlers area for over thirty years. He graduated from Antlers High School in 1978 and went on to study at Southeastern Oklahoma State University for a few years. In 1981, Marty took a job at Southwestern Bell Telephone Company and worked in southeast Oklahoma until 1986, when he transferred to work for Bell South in McKenzie, Tennessee. In 2000, Marty transferred to Haynesville, Louisiana and continued to work for Bell South until his retirement in 2012. Shortly after that, Marty moved back to Antlers, Oklahoma. In his free time, Marty enjoyed watching sports. He also had a special appreciation for hunting and fishing, and he was an avid member of the Pushmataha County Sportsman's Club. Marty treasured the time he spent with his family and friends. Above all else, he loved spending time with his grandchildren. 

He was preceded in death by his father: Dooley Martin; son: Casey Martin; grandparents; and a host of aunts, uncles and cousins. 

Marty is survived by his son: Chance Martin and wife Jaely of Antlers, Oklahoma; very special girlfriend: Verna Morton of Antlers, Oklahoma; mother: Carole Martin of Antlers, Oklahoma; brother: Monte Martin and wife Melinda of Antlers, Oklahoma; grandchildren: Callum Martin and Adalee Martin of Antlers, Oklahoma; as well as numerous nieces and nephews and a host of friends. 

Pallbearers include: Jairus Martin, Bryce Martin, Joey Martin, Koty Austin, Josh Hopson and Danny Gregg. 

Family Night for Marty Martin will be held from 6PM to 7PM, Wednesday, February 11, 2026 at the Serenity Funeral Service Chapel, in Antlers, Oklahoma. 

Marty's Funeral Service will be held at 10AM, Thursday, February 12, 2026, at the First Baptist Church, in Antlers, OKlahoma, with Aaron Reed and Brent Franks officiating. Interment will follow at the Antlers City Cemetery.
