Melba Jean (Bishop) Duke, 76, went to be with her Lord on May 25, 2021 at her home in Boswell, OK. She was born to Orville Bishop and Emma (McBride) Bishop in Antlers, OK on January 23, 1945, and was a lifetime resident of the Antlers area.
Melba was a seamstress, and was retired from Red Kap. She married Redge Duke on December 28, 2018 in Boswell. Melba loved cooking, flower gardening, and canning. She also enjoyed passing the time shopping, riding motorcycles, and fishing. Melba was of the Baptist faith.
She is preceded in death by her parents: Orville and Emma Bishop; brothers: Ronald Bishop and Donald Bishop; sisters: Margaret Rosenthal and Vera Bishop; and two husbands: Curtis Mack and Don Wilson.
Melba is survived by her husband: Redge Duke of the home; children: Eddie Mack and wife Vickey of Nelson, OK, Ann Standridge and husband Hebo of Antlers, OK, Walter Mack and wife Rhonda of Rattan, OK, Lynda Williams and husband Monte of Antlers, OK, Misty Mack of Boswell, OK, Michael Duke and wife Debra of Calera, OK, Jenny Norman and spouse Gayla of Grant, OK, and Sarah Olenbush of Enis, TX; as well as 19 grandchildren, and 16 great-grandchildren.
Services for Melba will take place on Saturday, May 29, 2021 at 10AM at the Antlers City Cemetery with Jarrett Wright officiating. Pallbearers include: Jeramey Mack, Clay Mack, Kelley Mack, Cody Mack, Ashley Standridge, and Curtis Wisener. Honorary Pallbearers include: Dalton Williams, Richard Standridge, Stormy Standridge, and Brian Mack Dunlap.
A family night will be held on Friday, May 28, 2021 from 6-8PM at Serenity Funeral Service.
