Michael "Red" Parks passed from this life on May 24, 2021 at his home in Antlers, OK. He was born on December 9, 1956 to Alfred Parks and Esther Ruth Rice Parks.
Red was a veteran of the United States Army. He married Thelma White on March 19, 2004 in Antlers, OK. His family and friends would tell you, he was a "Jack of All Trades". Red had been a resident of Antlers for over 50 years. He enjoyed fishing, playing chess and dominos, and spending time with his family and friends. Red loved serving the Lord and spreading his gospel.
He is preceded in death by his parents: Alfred and Ruth Parks; brother: Clifford Parks; and granddaughters: Hailey Rudder and Faith Black; son: Marc Anthony Hardin.
Red is survived by his wife: Thelma Parks of the home; children: Michelle Rudder and husband Jerald of Hendrix, OK, and Melissa Hunter and husband Saxton of Durant, OK, and Tansi Newton of Irving, Texas; and grandchildren: Megan Rudder, Michael Holland, Justus Miller, Jacob Black, and Matthew Miller.
Memorial services will be on Thursday, June 3, 2021 at 2PM at Soper Cemetery.
Honorary pallbearers include: Jerald Rudder, Saxton Hunter, and Chris Parks.
Cremation service have been entrusted with Serenity Funeral Service.
