Omri Dewayne Romines went to be with his Lord on July 17, 2021 in Antlers, OK. He was born to Buster Romines and Louise (Moon) Romines on June 17, 1944 in Antlers, OK.
Omri married Teresa Gorden on July 18, 1964 in Wapanucka, OK. Together, they made their home in Antlers and raised their children there. Omri was proud to have been named the 1981 President of the Sportsmans' Club, and he enjoyed hunting, fishing, and cooking. He was of the Baptist faith.
Omri is preceded in death by his parents: Buster and Louise Romines of Antlers, OK; brothers: Carl Ray Romines of Naples, FL, and Travis Romines of Kelso, WA; and sister: Gail Marvel Romines of Antlers, OK.
He is survived by his wife Teresa Doreen (Gorden) Romines of the home; children: Trini Romines of Antlers, OK, Tiffany Hernandez and husband Juan of Antlers, OK, and Tim Romines of Mount Vernon, TX; brothers: Joe Romines of San Antonio, TX and Glen Romines of Durant, OK; sisters: Tommie Bills of Antlers, OK and Eupalfae Bettencourt of Longview, WA; 5 grandchildren: Chelsea Stanley of Leonard, TX, Jessica Horton of Bentonville, AR, Kirby Romines of Bentonville, AR, Alexis Gomez of Antlers, OK, and Aidyn Gomez of Antlers, OK;6 great-grandchildren: Cambree Fromme of Leonard, TX, Brynleigh Fromme of Leonard, TX, Hutton Stanley of Leonard, TX, Raiden Horton of Bentonville, AR, John Cooper Horton of Bentonville, AR, and Olivia Gomez of Antlers, OK; as well as a host of beloved friends and relatives.
A family night will be held on Thursday, July 22, 2021 from 6-7PM at Serenity Funeral Service, followed by a visitation at the Wildlife Heritage Museum at 610 SW "D" Street in Antlers. Funeral services for Omri will take place on Friday, July 23, 2021 at 11AM in the Serenity Funeral Service Chapel with Donny Day officiating. Interment will follow at Darwin Cemetery. Pallbearers include: Michael Riser, Ricky Nelson, Eddie Holiman, Ronnie Tomlinson, Ron Tomlinson, Aidyn Gomez, Bruce Gordon, and Gary Ward. Honorary Pallbearers include: Jim Coffman, Charlie Perry, and Don Talley.
In lieu of flowers, the family requests donations be made to the O.D. Romines Memorial Fund, benefiting the Antlers Bearcats Athletic Department. Donations may be made at any FirstBank location or by calling 580-298-3368.
