Pat lived the first few years of her young life in Lane, OK before moving to Stanley, OK where she attended school in Clayton, OK. There she excelled at academics but loved basketball with her favorite move being the hook shot that she would later love to show off to her kids and grandkids whenever she got the chance. She married Harvey on June 27, 1958. They started a life together that took them from the log woods of California to cattle ranches in Arkansas and Oklahoma. They finally settled in Snow in their much beloved Joslin Valley where they would complete their life together.
Pat saw beauty in all things from the hummingbirds flitting about the porch to doe bringing fawns to the yard. She enjoyed planting and caring for flowers in her yard and house. She loved sewing, going to yard sales, and finding small antique treasures. Memorial weekend was always reserved for her and Harvey’s annual fishing trip to McGee Creek Lake. They also loved attending Blue Grass Festivals. After he passed, her and her sisters started taking an annual trip that ranged from hunting diamonds to checking out museums. Pat was an avid reader who passed that trait down to her kids and grandkids. She loved watching her grandchildren and great grandchildren's rodeo and sporting events. She was incredibly proud of all of her children, grandchildren, and great grandchildren. She also enjoyed meeting and getting to know new people. She always showed an interest in those around her and had a knack for making them feel welcome. She was not born and raised in Joslin Valley, but her roots run deep there. She loved the life that she and Harvey created in the valley. She lived simply but loved deeply.
