Patricia May Obituary

Patricia Ann May, left to be with our Lord January 10, 2024, in Paris, Texas, surrounded by love and family. Born on December 22, 1931, in Finley, Oklahoma, Patricia's life was a testament to the strength and heritage of her beloved Choctaw lineage, a legacy she proudly bore throughout her 92 years.

The daughter of Buford Ollie and Zelma Estell Smith, Patricia grew into a woman of faith and compassion, deeply involved with her cherished Little Cedar Baptist Church. Her devotion to her hometown never wavered as she remained a lifelong resident of Finley.
Her favorite place was in her kitchen where she prepared gourmet meals full of love and flavor. She loved to fish, her gardening, flowers, watching birds, squirrels and of course her cook shows.

Her heart found its match in Winfred Dale May, whom she married on February 5, 1973, in Reno, Nevada. Together they cultivated a life rich in love and kindness until his passing.

Patricia's memory will be carried forward by her grateful children, Kenny Faulkner and his wife Chris of Honobia, Oklahoma, Cheryl Yoas and husband Terry of Santa Rosa, CA, Donna Roberts and husband Lawrence of McKinney, Texas and 3 Grandchildren and 5 Great grandchildren and her step children Kathy Medford and husband Mark, Cindy Richmond and husband Duane, and Bodie May and wife Julia and their children and grands. She leaves behind a legacy through her adoring siblings, Linda Battles, and Mike Smith, alongside countless other relatives and friends who were touched by her warmth and generosity.

She was preceded in death by her dear parents, Buford Ollie and Zelma Estell Smith, and her beloved husband, Dale May and siblings Buford Smith, Betty Wilkerson, Sybil Weathers, Stacie Smith, and Jerry Smith.
