Perrie Lee Boren was born in Erick, OK to Omer Buell Boren and Francis Viola (Moore) Boren in 1942. He went home to be with his Lord in 2024 in Antlers, OK.
Perrie graduated (as he would say) from the University of Moyers. He enlisted in the Navy in 1960. He served aboard the USS Kittyhawk. He had several overseas assignments throughout his 27 years of service. He met his loving wife Irene Frey while they were both stationed in Florida and they were married in Sumner, Washington in 1977. They welcomed the birth of their daughters Roberta and Pauline while stationed in Keflavik, Iceland in 1980. He retired from his military service in 1987.
He was a faithful and devoted member of First Baptist Church. Perrie enjoyed fishing, hunting, farming, driving around the countryside enjoying the scenery. He was a prankster who loved to spend time with and tease family and friends. He enjoyed giving to others. Most of all, he enjoyed the time spent with his daughters and granddaughter teaching them to shoot.
