Polly Joyce Godsby of Antlers, Oklahoma passed away surrounded by family on Thursday, October 16th, 2025. Born on March 1st, 1948 in Albion, Oklahoma to Lester and Beaula (Nunley) Mason.

Polly spent most of her childhood in Albion before attending High School in Talihina. Her desire to teach and nurture young minds led her first to Eastern and then to Southeastern where she earned her bachelor’s degree in Elementary Education. Polly would go on to teach at multiple schools, including Antlers, where she devoted her time to her students, not only in the classroom, but in various extracurriculars as well.

Polly was a devoted mother, grandmother, and a devout Christian. She enjoyed reading, doing puzzles, sewing, embroidery, and watching her favorite sports.

She is survived by her daughter Kelley Thain and husband Michael of Antlers OK, and son Jeremy Godsby. Her grandchildren include Shancye Godsby and partner Cameron Mills of Ponca City, OK and Kammye Thain of Antlers, OK. She is also survived by sister Gloria O’Bryan. She is also survived by many nieces and nephews.

Polly is preceded in death by her parents, Lester and Beaula.

Her compassion, humor, and energetic nature will continue to live on in the minds and hearts of all those who will continue to love and miss her.

Her memorial will be held on November 8th at the Gather Event Center located at 216 N High St, Antlers, OK from noon to 4pm. The family asks that instead of flowers a charitable donation be made in Polly's name to local charities.
