Randall Keith Allen Obituary

Randall “Randy” Keith Allen, age 60, of Sobol, Oklahoma, was born on Christmas Day, December 25, 1965, at Coon Hospital in Longview, Texas, to James Miller Allen and Fayrene (Joplin) Allen. Randy passed away peacefully in his sleep on February 23, 2026, at Antlers Manor in Antlers, Oklahoma.

Randy grew up and attended school in Valliant, Oklahoma, graduating from Valliant Public Schools in 1984. He went on to attend OSU Institute of Technology, where he learned the trade of diesel mechanics—a skill he carried with him throughout his life. Randy spent many years working as a diesel mechanic. Later he worked at Teal Jones Lumber Company. He took pride in his work and was always willing to lend his knowledge and a helping hand to anyone who needed it.

In 1987, Randy married Tracy Beaird, and together they built a family and raised three children: Alicia (Brandon) Kaup of Hoven, South Dakota; Cody (Jami) Allen of Mound City, South Dakota; and Amberly (Brennan) Kranz of Watertown, South Dakota. His children were an important part of his life, and he was proud of each of them.

Later in life, Randy married Connie Means on July 7, 2007, in Mound City, South Dakota. Though their paths eventually changed, they remained friends.

Randy was a proud grandfather to five grandchildren—Raquel, Bennett, Kayson, Lennox, and Beckett. He is also survived by his brother, Steve Allen of Sapulpa, Oklahoma and Aunt Sarah Allen Turner of Longview, TX

He was preceded in death by his parents, James and Fayrene Allen; his aunt, Erlene (Opal) Allen Smith; his paternal grandparents, Earl David Allen and Ethel (VanBrunt) Allen; and his maternal grandparents, Bill and Lily (Dickerson) Joplin of Sobol, Oklahoma.

Randy will be laid to rest at Sobol Cemetery next to his mother and father.

Randy will be remembered for his love of horses, being a skilled diesel mechanic, and his charismatic personality that could fill a room. He was the kind of person who would show up when you needed him, ready to help without being asked. He had a stubborn and ornery streak that kept life interesting, but it was all part of the man people knew and loved. Randy was genuine, loving, and unforgettable—someone who left a lasting impression on those who knew him.

A graveside service will be held at 1PM on Thursday, February 26, 2026 at the Sobol Cemetery.

Services are under the direction of Serenity Funeral Service of Antlers.
