Randell Vernon Hays

Randell Vernon "Randy" Hays, age 67, passed away on September 19, 2023, in Moyers, Oklahoma. Born on July 31, 1956, in Lubbock, Texas, Randy was a cherished father, brother, and grandfather.

Randy was a respected member of the Army National Guard, where he served his country proudly.

Randy loved music and relished spending his free time camping, fishing, and UTV riding. Perhaps his greatest joy, though, came from the time he spent surrounded by his family and friends, where his true spirit shone brightest.

He is survived by his children: April Curtis and her husband Tim of Roff, Broc Hays and his wife Tiffany of Tulsa, and Samantha Herrmann and her husband Cole of Sulphur. He also leaves behind his former wife and mother of his children: Jackie Hays of Sulphur, as well as his sisters: Nellie Hays Parks of Hanford and Trena Hays. Randy was also the proud grandparent of Madison, Kensingtyn, and Payton Curtis, Emily, Braxton, Brody, and Benjamin Hays, and Cash and Clara Herrmann.

Randy was preceded in death by his parents: Vernon and Stella Hays; his brother: Merlin Hays; and his sister: Leta Burriss. He will be fondly remembered and dearly missed by all.

A memorial service will be held on Saturday, September 30, 2023 at 3PM at the Kiamichi Wilderness Fire House.
