Robert Vipperman Obituary

Robert Lee Vipperman , age 75 , passed away at Mitchell Manor in McAlester Oklahoma on February 1st 2021. He was born to Hebert “Buddy” Tillman Vipperman and Evelyn “Jewel” Vipperman March 16th 1945 in Kosoma Oklahoma. Robert was the oldest of five children.

He served in the navy in the 60s and was honorably discharged in the late 60s. Robert married Dianne M. Little in 1976. They had three children together. He became a machinist in the 70s and retired from that in the late 80s. Robert then did janitorial and maintenance work for Antlers manor and Mays home health in the 80s and 90s before retiring from Mays in the mid 2000s.

He was a Jehovah’s Witness for many years, and had become a deacon. Robert had an amazing sense of humor. He had many hobbies such as baking (his yeast rolls were to die for) and he loved to hunt and fish. Robert loved to spend time outdoors either gardening, or working. He was no stranger to hard work. Over his life time he did many little odd jobs here and there, but most of all he loved being a grandfather.

He is proceeded in death by his wife: Dianne; daughter Kimberly; brothers Raymond “Dean” Vipperman and David Vipperman; both of his parents: “Buddy” and “Jewel”; as well as nephew: Thomas Wright.

He is survived by his son: Jason Vipperman of Antlers, OK; Daughter: Tessa Smith of Hugo, OK; Four grandchildren: Austin Vippeman, Hunter Smith, Eric Carver, and Jason James “J.J.” Vipperman, all of Hugo, Oklahoma.

Memorial services for Robert will be held on Saturday, March 6, 2021 at 2PM at Serenity Funeral Service.
