Ronnie "Frog" Scarberry was born on February 23, 1948 in Nashoba, OK to Odus Scarberry and Jessie (Wright) Scarberry. He passed from this life on March 23, 2025 in Tulsa, OK with his beloved family at his side.
Frog was a man of deep faith, unwavering work ethic, and a strong bond with his family. He had a passion for running logging equipment and would proudly claim to be the best delimber in the country. His quick wit and sharp tongue made him unforgettable, and his many talents set him apart. Not only could he delimb a tree in ten seconds flat, but he could also build a house from that very same tree. A gifted musician, he could strum a guitar, play the harmonica, and sing-all at once.
Beyond his skills, Frog had a heart as big as his talents. He never hesitated to open his home to those in need, and once you were welcomed inside, you became family. His love for his family was deep, steadfast, and true.
Frog is preceded in death by his father: Odus Scarberry; mother: Jessie Bush; brother: Ray Scarberry; and grandparents: John Albert Scarberry, Myrtle Scarberry, George Berry Wright, and Mollie Wright.
He is survived by his wife: Deanna Scarberry of the home; children: Sheila Scarberry and husband Clint Beason, Shawn Scarberry and wife Lyndi Scarberry, Stephanie Jones, Danielle Maynard, and Chassity Merriman; brothers: Leroy Scarberry and John Scarberry; sister: Odell Bond; as well as 14 grandchildren and 14 great-grandchildren.
A memorial service will be held at 10AM on Wednesday, March 26, 2025 at Serenity Funeral Service with Pastor Billy Hunter officiating.
Services are under the direction of Serenity Funeral Service of Antlers.
