Ruby Mae Theophilidis, a resident of Tulsa, Oklahoma, passed away peacefully on September 24, 2023, at the age of 74. Ruby was born on January 30, 1949, to Myrtle Wesley Loman and Jimmie Loman, in her beloved hometown of Antlers, Oklahoma.
Ruby was a member of Bobb Myers Methodist Church and dedicated her time to working with children, illuminating life's simplicity and joy. Her domestic talents were often put to use in sewing her son's regalia and Elvis jumpsuits, a task she undertook with great care and skill.
A faithful viewer of Big Brother, Jeopardy, and Soap Operas, she also cherished little moments of relaxation with some shopping on QVC whenever she found time. Her memory will be cherished by all who knew and loved her.
She is survived by her husband: Stephen Theophilidis of Tulsa, OK; proud children: Michael D. Loman of Tulsa, OK, and Nicholas J. Theophilidis; supportive brother: Terry Loman and Merry of Tahlequah, OK; loving sisters: Paula Loman Jones and Jimmy of Tulsa, OK, Clara Loman Battice and Vic Eyachabbe of Antlers, OK, and Wanie Loman Morris of Antlers, OK; sisters-in-law: Barbara Harris of Freeport, NY, and Joan Doherty and Richard of Long Island, NY; as well as numerous nieces, nephews, cousins, and other relatives.
She was preceded in death by her brothers: Richard Loman, Howard Loman, Lloyd Loman, James Loman; and her parents: Myrtle and Jimmie Loman.
A family night will be held on Thursday, September 28, 2023 from 6:30-7:30 at Serenity Funeral Service. Funeral service will take place on Friday, September 29, 2023 at 11AM at the Serenity Funeral Service Chapel with Jimmy Jones officiating. Pallbearers include: Chris Jones, Christian Anderson, Daniel Postoak, Taylor Battice, Josiah Jones, and Bradley Battice. Honorary pallbearers are: Terry Loman, Vic Eyachabbe, Russ Smalley, Dwight Austin, OTis Martin, and Jerry Theophilidis. Interment will follow at Antlers City Cemetery.
