Ruth Helen Way passed away peacefully on January 16, 2025, at the age of 87 in Seiling, Oklahoma. Born on July 12, 1937, in Siloam Springs, Arkansas, to Vernon and Vertie Maples, Ruth cultivated a life shared with family and friends who cherished her deeply.

A dedicated mother, Ruth's legacy is honored through her children: Rosetta Cutsinger and her husband Orval of Vici, OK, Brenda Smith of Wilburton, OK; brother: Dean Maples; and sister: Verna Reed. Her spirit lives on in her adored grandchildren: Randy Harris, John Paul Smith II, Kevin Robbins and girlfriend Netta Bell, Chelsea Hess, Rebecca Smith, Amanda Cutsinger and boyfriend Josh Owens, and Katelyn Pierce and husband Aaron; along with her precious great-grandchildren: Desiree, Dasha, Randall, Seneca, Walter, Belamy, Lynlee, and Drew; and great-great-grandchildren: Dustin, Victoria, and Isaiah.

Ruth was reunited in eternal rest with her beloved husband: Floyd Way; her daughter: Rebecca Ferdig; son-in-law: Steve Ferdig; great-grandchild: Michael Lee; her parents: Vernon and Vertie Maples; and siblings who preceded her-Wanda Rains and husband Ben, Harold Maples and his wife Barbara, Ronnie Maples and his wife Bette, Donnie Maples and his wife Brenda-along with her mother and father-in-law: Lewis and Ozia Way; sister-in-law: Bonnie Maples; and brother-in-law: Russell Reed.

An enthusiast of the simpler pleasures in life, Ruth's days were often spent fishing, tending to her garden, and observing the beauty of wildlife. Indoors, she enjoyed the challenge of a good card game, mastering word search puzzles, and was a long-time fan of the television shows 'The Price Is Right' and 'Wheel of Fortune'.

Ruth Helen Way's life was a journey of love. She will be dearly missed and forever remembered by all those she touched with her heart and spirit.

Funeral services will be held at 1PM on Saturday, January 18, 2025 at the Serenity Funeral Service Chapel in Antlers, OK with Pastor Jim Collier officiating. Honorary pallbearers include: Danny Gregg, Donny Gregg, J.R. Miller, Kevin Robbins, Kyle Hess, and Randall Hess.
