Shirley Ann Johnson

Shirley Ann (Tabor) Johnson, age 66, passed away July 12, 2019 in Choctaw county. Shirley was born July 9, 1953 to John Young and Alice Clorine “Honey” (Mundine) Tabor in Aransas Pass, Texas, and raised by John Tabor Jr.

Shirley married Jerry Don Johnson July 22, 2000 in Finley, Oklahoma. She enjoyed playing music, tending to the garden, genealogy, and spending time with family and friends. Shirley worked as a physical therapist assistant for Encompass Health, and was a resident of Finley for 30 years. She was a member of 88000, Swiftwater, Doe Camp, Snowzark, and Winfield.
She was preceded in death by her mother: Alice Tabor; “Daddy” John Tabor Jr; “Papa” John Young; aunts: Gene and Joy; brother: John Tabor III; grandsons: Jeffery Ferguson and Jordan Hargrove.
Shirley is survived by her husband of the home: Jerry Don Johnson.
Children: Leo Edward Thomason, Joseph Charles Hargrove, Michael Dean Hargrove, Penny Louise Ferguson, Harlan Grayson Hargrove, Robert Dale Hargrove Jr., and many others that she claimed as her own.
Brothers: Johnny Wayne, James Wesley, Joseph William, and Jeremy Wade Young.
Sisters: Lahonda, Virginia Faye, and Tina Lynn.
Brothers-in-law: Howard Johnson and family of Fort Smith, Arkansas, Herman and family of Snow, Oklahoma, BJ and family of Hugo, Oklahoma, Glen and family of Dallas, Texas.
Numerous grandchildren and great-grandchildren; along with many other relatives and a host of friends.
Funeral services for Shirley Ann Johnson of Finley, will be 2 PM Tuesday July 16, 2019 at the Antlers First Baptist Church with interment following at the Finley Cemetery in Finley, Oklahoma.

Family night for Shirley will be held at Serenity Funeral Service on Monday July 15, 2019 from 6-8 PM.
