Steven Glenn Powers, 74 of Antlers, passed from this life surrounded by family on May 1, 2022. He was born in Tulsa, OK on February 2, 1948. Steven married Janet L. VanKempema on August 14, 1971 in Tulsa, OK, and together they enjoyed many years raising their family.
He was a member of the United Methodist Church of Antlers, and the United Methodist Men. Steven was a proud Veteran of the United States Army. In his spare time, he enjoyed being outdoors playing golf, hunting, hiking, camping, and scuba diving.
Steven is preceded in death by his father and step-mother: Richard E. Powers and Bunnie J. Powers; mother: Maxine L. (Lomax) Brown; brother: Scott D. Powers; and grandson: John Ross Flournoy.
He is survived by his wife: Janet L. Powers of the home; children: Lisa M. Reed (Andy) of Elk City, KS and Scott R. Powers (Tanya) of Antlers, OK; sister: Suzanne Powers of Springfield, MO; grandchildren: A.J. Reed, Dylan Flournoy, Hannah Powers, Sarah Powers, Lexie Reed, and Savanah Powers; and great-grandchildren: Oaklynn Reed, Dixie Reed, and Jolene Reed.
Private family services to be held at a later date.
Services have been entrusted with Serenity Cremations of Antlers, OK.
