Terry Wayne Carney, Sr. 65 of Talihina, OK, passed away in his home on Monday, October 7, 2024 in Fort Worth, TX. He was born on May 7, 1959 to Wallace Carney and Flennie Carney.

He was preceded in death by his father and mother; and siblings: Evangeline Carney, Timothy Carney, Eric Carney, and Wallace "Butch" Carney.

He is survived by his son: Terry Carney, Jr. and his wife Rebecca Carney; daughter: Stephanie Hesch and her husband Mathew Hesch, and his former wife Lisa Taylor. He had 13 grandchildren: Serenity Moore, Allyssa Carney, Terry Carney, River Carney, Rozalynn Carney, Annabelle Carney, Joshua Frazier, Wesley Carney, Sunshine Carney, Isaiah Hesch, Ashalei Hesch, Elizabeth Hesch, and Rebecca Hesch. He also had 2 great grandchildren: Olivia Moore, and Ashlynn Moore. Terry is also survived by his siblings: Paul Carney, Julian Carney, and Kathleen Boggio.

Terry was a member of First Assembly of God White Settlement Church. He enjoyed playing the bass guitar, singing gospel hymns, and spending time with his family. His favorite pastime was watching Westerns and wrestling, and snacking on popcorn, marshmallows, bologna, and hamburgers from Whataburger. Terry's favorite saying was, "OH WELL".

A graveside service will be held at 2PM on Friday, October 18, 2024 at Battiest Cemetery in Battiest, OK with Bro. Michael Shutter officiating. Pallbearers include: Matthew Hesch, Isaiah Hesch, Oliver Moore, Conner Moore, Joshua Frazier, and Terry Carney. Honorary pallbearers are: Paul Carney, Julian Carney, Justin Boggio, Charles Davidson, Shaun Baker, and Kevin Davidson.
