Thelma Lovada (Hamlin) McMahan, 102, passed from this life on Tuesday, May 25, 2021, at her home in Antlers, Oklahoma. She was born near Louisville, Texas on February 18, 1919, to Fletcher and LoElla Hamlin.
Thelma is preceded in death by her parents: Fletcher and LoElla Hamlin; husband: Dewey McMahan; four sisters: Jewell McCarty, Vida Bell, Mittis Lawson, and Juanita Bates; and one brother: L.B. Hamlin.
She is survived by her children: Glen McMahan and wife Betty of Antlers and Mark McMahan and wife Sherry of Antlers; grandsons: Lance McMahan and wife Shelly of Antlers and Brenon McMahan of Broken Arrow, OK; granddaughters: Stephney Heath of Antlers and Shawna Copeland and husband Bryan of Antlers, along with many great-grandchildren, nieces, nephews, and very special caretaker Lisa Williams.
Thelma spent most of her life living in the Kellond/Antlers area. She attended the First Assembly of God Church, and married Dewey McMahan in July of 1939. She was a homemaker all of her married life. Thelma enjoyed keeping a clean house, cooking, and letting her family know exactly what to do.
Services for Thelma will be held at 2PM on Friday, May 28, 2021 at the Serenity Funeral Service Chapel with Brent Franks officiating. Interment will follow at Antlers City Cemetery.
