Theodore "Ted" Ketterling, 95, passed from this life surrounded by his family, January 26, 2020, in Antlers, Oklahoma. He was born March 23, 1924, in Wishek, North Dakota, to Jacob and Carolina (Eckman) Ketterling.
Ted was a farmer in Idaho during the early part of his life, and later became a truck driver for the United States Army. He proudly served our country during WWII and received numerous medals including the Army of Occupation Medal, Asiatic Pacific Service Medal, Good Conduct Medal and the Victory Medal. Ted ultimately moved to Oklahoma and started a trucking and construction company with his sons. Upon moving to Antlers, he purchased land and ran cattle. He and Zetta owned and operated many rental properties together, until their early ninety's. Ted and Zetta always had a large garden and really enjoyed working together. Above all else he loved spending time with his family.
He is preceded in death by his parents: Jacob Ketterling and Carolina Ketterling; wife: Ida (Maier) Ketterling; sons: Ted Ketterling Jr. and Gary Ketterling; brothers: Alvin Ketterling, Reuben Ketterling, and Elmer Ketterling; sisters: Ruth Vilhauer, Viola Schenk, and Ida Buckle; and grandson: Theodore Brent Ketterling.
Ted leaves behind a loving wife of the home: Zetta Jordan Ketterling; children: Shirley Bartley and husband Ray of Moore, Oklahoma; Rick Ketterling and wife Judi of Claremore, Oklahoma, John Jordan and wife Jackie of Skiatook, Oklahoma, Joyce Halcomb and husband Joe of Branson, Missouri, and Bill Rutz and wife Betty of Ponca City, Oklahoma; daughter-in-law: Diane Ketterling of Choctaw, Oklahoma; brother: Leo Ketterling and wife Lucille of Rupert, Idaho; numerous grandchildren, great grandchildren and great-great grandchildren; as well as a host of other relatives and friends.

Funeral services for Ted will be held 10 AM Tuesday January 28, 2020 at the Antlers First Baptist Church with Reverend Aaron Reed officiating. Interment will be at Rest Haven Cemetery in Oklahoma City, Oklahoma.
