Tommie Lou (Perrin) Rodenberger Obituary

Tommie Lou Rodenberger "Grannie Tom", a cherished matriarch, departed this life on November 21, 2023, in Durant, OK at the age of 87. Born on March 20, 1936, to proud parents O.T. "Bill" Perrin and Arenia Mae (Brown) Perrin in Florence, OK, she was a resident of Pushmataha County Oklahoma throughout her whole life. She married Robert Rodenberger Sr. on December 23, 1955 and together they shared many years of love and family.

Engaged in the community, Tommie was a member of the Antlers Church of Christ and was actively involved with Town & Country and ESA. She took great pleasure in being a 4-H leader, instilling important values in young minds. A woman of many interests, she found joy in sewing, quilting, and playing bridge. Each stitch in her quilts told a story of patience, and she got great joy from sharing her creations with her friends and loved ones.

She was preceded in death by her dear parents; brother: Billy Perrin; niece: Cindy Ann Perrin; and cousin: Jackie Puckett.

She is survived by her devoted spouse Robert M. Rodenberger Sr.; her children: Bob Rodenberger and wife Cheri Rodenberger, Elizabeth Rodenberger, and daughter-in-law Karen Rodenberger; sisters: Jo Ann Matthews and Patsy Ruth Couch-McClure; grandchildren: Cody Rodenberger, Rikki Rodenberger-VanOrsdol and husband Glen VanOrsdol, Jarrett Rodenberger, Niccole Rodenberger, Liz Tarrant and husband Chris Tarrant, Bryse McClain, Misty Tyson and husband Jason Tyson, Tyler Norvell and wife Beth, Julie Henderson and husband Nathan, and Kyle Norvell; great-grandchildren: Landon Rodenberger, Hilton Rodenberger, Lauren Rodenberger, Weston Rodenberger, Paxton Rodenberger, Genttrie Eli VanOrsdol, Callon Rodenberger, Elliot Dickey, Kinley Tarrant, Madilyn Tarrant, Grayson Tarrant, Grant VanOrsdol, Graycee VanOrsdol, Madilyn Norvell, Sailor Norvell, Coen Henderson, Scout Henderson, Cheri Norvell, and Abigail Norvell; nephew: David Don Couch; nieces: Stephanie Smallwood, Theresa Moyers, and Jackie Perrin; as well as numerous other nieces, nephews, and cousins; and her very special home health girls: Jennie, Amanda, and Kaylee, who cared for her with unfaltering kindness.
